Matthew Rabon
Matt Rabon began spending his family summer vacations on Edisto in 1987, as a young boy. He enjoyed learning to fish, shrimp, and crab all while exploring the marshes and inlets in his father’s Jon Boat. He fell in the love with the island way of life and dreamed of becoming a permanent fixture in the community like so many of his family before him. As a young adult in Rock Hill, Matt went on to graduate Central Piedmont Community College with a degree in survey technologies, all while working full-time as a field surveyor. He obtained fifteen years of experience in all types of surveying with extensive work in subdivision layout, robotics, GPS, and transportation. His notable projects include the Regent Park subdivision in Fort Mill, the Asheville Regional Airport redevelopment, and the Norfolk Southern Railroad expansion through Mecklenburg County. In 2020, Matt finally followed his dream to the beach and became Realtor® at Carolina One Kapp Lyons Group. He was the catalyst in the purchase of a family home and became a full-time member of the Edisto community. Matt looks forward to using his love for the water, his family ties, his history as a surveyor, and his vast knowledge of the island and all of its hidden gems to help you find your perfect forever home. His passion for the low country extends far beyond the island’s boundaries, and he’s thrilled to begin helping you achieve your own low country dreams.
